As much as I like that car, I don’t want to copy it. I have different wheels waiting for tires, and if I get around to getting the ford racing handling pack I’ll be lowered about an inch.

Stuff like this makes me not want to try drag racing. At least autocross we have pretty wide runoffs, and even a track usually has plenty of space between the track and the wall. Drag racing you’re just fucked if you lose it.

I’m so torn on those RTR grills. I kinda want to do a pony-less grill at some point, but the two nostriles on that style look kinda funny to me. I need to see one in person.

Spent many years drag racing and was fortunate enough to have never eaten the wall, but I saw plenty of guys that did.

However, I was that guy and wrecked my car into a one of those parking space curbs at an auto-x. I spun it through the finish gate right into the curb. Should not have had a high speed slalom there...but I was supposed to be in control... Watched a guy punch in a tire wall at NASA MSR a couple weeks ago doing TT and trash his Vette.

Just to say it’s dangerous. Make sure the course is safe and well designed. And wear as much safety gear as you can. Crap happens, which is why I don’t race my DD... And auto-x is safe for 99.9% of participants, I just happened to be the 0.1% that day. But it could be worse which is why I don’t bitch about my own accident -which was mostly my fault. In 2014, a young girl died racing a kart at an SCCA Texas event at TMS when she hit the cable wire fence :(...so at least I survived.
